OVERVIEW  

AOA (Amr Omar Architects) is a private architectural firm, started in 1980, now houses 27 highly qualified Architects, Designers, Site Engineers and support staff.  Since then handled several projects from residential buildings, private houses and gated community developments to commercial and office space buildings and institutions. A great part of our clients are also major investors who assigned us for vast resort villages as well as exclusive hotels and several touristic projects and developments, with multi-national firms as co-architects; one of them was MGA Michael Graves Architects working in collaboration with our firm on the Intercontinental Hotel-Taba owned by Orascom and reaching over 180 million L.E of value.

 In lieu of subscribing to fashion and polemic, Amr Omar Architects aims to deliver thoughtful, original and contemporary architecture that conveys a sense of humanism and purpose while fulfilling programmatic requirements. This is achieved through an intensive collaboration with clients and consultants and careful investigation into the best ways to accommodate the program. Amr Omar Architects exercises economy of gesture and scrupulous attention which results in the highest standards of execution, delight in pure beauty, and respect for the client's need to be inspired and engaged.

Regarding the many styles of simple dwellings around the world which inspire AOA designs, Amr Omar Architects opines that “whatever the ethnic origins, it retains the same spirit.” That traditional spirit of simplicity and proximity to the natural world outside is effortlessly captured in AOA latest designs, where ethnic African roofs rub shoulders with a pyramid. Amr Omar`s Designs are exciting concoctions that reflect a combination of youthful exuberance with a mature, professional approach to architecture. Plucking influences from mental snapshots around the world has enabled him to bring to life creations infused by a natural instinct for space. This philosophy of eclecticism also permeates Amr Omar Architects` interior designing. The word `eclectic`, is explained: “more to the eye”, but more can mean less of an impact if different sources of inspiration are miscalculated.

Both Nubian–inspired courtyards featuring AOA`s residential design mosaic along with brave center–pieces of sky-lighted shells breathe inner space into the middle of AOA`s creations and bows to the philosophy that “good architecture lets nature in.” the outside is brought inside for a recreational living environment in which to enjoy the best of both worlds.
